Re: Lack of interior OL help
The way I see it the front office's time was initially taken up with (a) signing undrafted free agents (b) re-signing vets such as Matt Light, Kevin Faulk, Sammie Morris, (c) working on trades for potential starters (Albert Haynesworth, Chad Ochocinco), and (d) bringing in NFL vet free agents for a workout, interview, and contract negotiations (Brock, Roth, Moses, Crowder, etc.) that could potentially start or at least be getting a substantial number of snaps.
Next will be a look at available free agents that would primarily be depth and backup that would not be expected to be on the field except if someone else got injured. So I would expect the Pats to address depth on the offensive line over the next week or so; perhaps re-signing Ojinnaka or signing a player or two to compete to take his place; maybe another player to compete with LeVoir; possibly a G/C to compete with Wendell.
Though Neal has indeed retired don't forget the Pats added two offensive linemen through the draft. Kaczur I don't count as a loss as he did not play a down with the Pats last year.
