Default Let's end Spygate tomorrow

Send an email to Sen Kennedy with your comments and feelings so this matter ends tomorrow. Sen Kennedy is a memeber of the same Senate Judiciary Committe as Sen Specter. You can even email the Chairman if you like: Patrick J. Leahy CHAIRMAN, D-VERMONT.

Do you think they care what a bunch of Patriots fans typing on a computer think of what they will do,if anything with NE? - I hardly think so unless you slip each member of the senate a nice little (but not little) 'gift'

You would be writing as a concerned citizen not a Pats fan. Concerned as to why this resolved NFL matter would get time with the Senator when this country has so many other much more pressing issues at this time.

I live in PA and near where specter was just a local political guy early in his career and jumped up the ladder to senator,Believe me he has not changed and is the same ol' (insert expletive) you see now.

Specter is a HUMONGOUS Philadelphia Eagles fanatic who firmly believes his Eagles were robbed in SB 38 with cheating and will do ANYTHING to take the glory from NE away or in any of the Pats Championship SB years and will not sleep until he destroys or at least tries his hardest to destroy the integrity of the Patriots organization.

When things get political it gets scary and is no issue just to shrug off like some fans in here who just think things will go away quietly and quickly - UH-NO-
This may be serious stuff in the next few months whatever that may be,Its going to be a LONG offseason for us fans of this team.

"Let's End this Trial TODAY" .. Funny stuff.

Depending on what the Patriots have done and Arlen will ask point blank what exactly was on the tapes.... then we'll see where this goes.

It's not necessary to request special handling... It'll all sort itself out.. and it's not even in the slightest about People wanting to make the Patriots look like the bad guy.

Face it ... The Eagles Rams or Panthers did not uncover the story.

It was YOUR GUY... Mangini who BEGAN to spill the beans and he has not been subpoenaed yet as far as I know.. but he will be..
I think you're missing the point, you ******* toddler. It doesn't matter what kind of court that would happen in, since this isn't going to go before any court. Crimes go to court, and this wasn't a crime. Come back when you've taken sixth grade social studies; maybe you'll have something to offer to the conversation then.

Thinking of your near-future departure from this forum makes me happy, Columbo.

The issue most Pats fans have with this issue is that they broke a rule (not a law) and have no idea why that idiot Specter needs/wants to get involved. The Pats videotaped teams in broad daylight (even if the Rams walkthrough is true). Wouldn't you think they would be much more stealth in their operation if they were truly trying to get one over on the competition? If they get additional punishment for this issue then the league will need to go back and readdress the Steelers of the 70's (steriods) the 49ers and Broncos (cap violations), the Cowboys of the 90's (Jimmy Johnson admitted to taping signals), the George Halas Bears (he apparently sent blurry game films to opponents on purpose for a competitive advantage) the George Allen Skins and any other team not "playing fairly" or accused of violations (Dolphins - tampering with Shula) From what I am aware, Goodell looked at the tapes, decided that they were a rule violation and issued a fine and penalty. Should every NFL infraction be investigated by Congress? Should Eddie Debartalo have gone to jail because the 49ers were accused of circumventing the cap? Should all of their Superbowls contain an asterick? The venom being sent at the Pats and Belichick is insane and disproportional to the alleged infraction. Yes, we openly filmed signals on the sideline. Yes we were caught. We then won the next 17 games without this "valuable tool" Seems to me that the significance of filming was at best miniscule but that is not how it gets portrayed.

It's the equivilant of jaywalking. You can cross the street...just not there. Just move down the road 100' and it's OK.

I can't believe this is taking up the tax payer paid time of U.S. politicians. Seriously...I just can't believe it.

And no one is "entitled" to know what was on those tapes outside of the NFL. It's a private organization. You may want to know....but you're not "entitled".

Sorry...guess I'm a tad cranky this morning

I really think you're missing the point.. I really truly do.

It's all about what your franchise DID or DID NOT DO. And it's all going to come out in the end.. If they cheated... we'll find out.. If they didn't.. we'll also find that out.

But in all seriousness, do you really think that this is about a renegade senator trying to garner votes? Hilarious. Ok listen up... Here's the deal... your franchise was accused by a former employee of having broken the rules.

That EMPLOYEE has never been called before a Federal Court or Congress to testify as to what he knows concerning the activities of the organization.

Now what that former Employee ( and I don't mean Matt Walsh) WILL SAY when forced to testify under oath...

Heck I don't KNOW.. you don't know.. ... maybe belicheck knows but if it's something very very bad.. then bill will know why he's saying it as well.

And for people that don't think this is a serious issue or something that will Go away because you eh "Want it to go away"..

Then I invite you to do the following, Tonight go into your neighbors phone box outside his house and hook up a tap and tape his conversations... then set up a hidden video camera in his bushes and just record the keyless entry code for his car.. and don't steal it or anything .. just go in and change the radio presets... Then call the cops and hand over the tapes you have...

See the big PROBLEM here is nobody KNOWS what was on the tapes that the Patriots handed over... and if you think that the Season ticket holders of the other 31 teams aren't entitled ESPECIALLY those in St Louis, Carolina and Philadelphia to know what is on the tapes...

WOW I don't know how to explain this to you other than three words.. Richard Milhouse Nixon... Now maybe what was on the tape was a guy sitting on the New England sideline video taping some hand gestures no more incriminating than watching a catcher give the 1 inside corner.

But then again MAYBE it was much much worse....To have destroyed the tapes if the Patriots are simply guilty of a rule misinterpretation actually HURTS the patriots because by there being NO tapes to view... people are free to let their minds run wild as to what was on them.

But if you guys really think this is going to end tomorrow because the NFL thinks it's better for selling Beer Commercials... You may be in for a quite a shock... one even more stiff than when that clock ticked to :01 and your coach decided it was time to take an early shower.

Ignoring some of your points because they are crazy........If what you say is true and this is about what the Patriots did or didn't do where is the outcry to find out what other NFL teams have done. One thing about the Steriod scandel is that they are going after everyone Picthers, sluggers, average ball players.....What about guys like Jimmy Johnson who have come out and said his teams have done it, what about the accusation the Jets did it to us two seasons ago.
