Default Forcing The Ball to Randy Moss

Great discussion going on right now on NFLN. Should Brady force the ball to Moss today? It's a valid question. Most often the old school says establish the run ... usually a good method.

Let's suppose Brady does force the ball to Moss today. Let's suppose Brady to Moss is successfull early ... it opens everything else up ... wide ... real wide. If the Giants cannot stop Brady to Moss ... game over. We all know this ... we know what they can do ... makes for a great discussion.

Go to Moss after opening the offense?

or

Open the offense by forcing it to Moss?

Depends what the Giants give them.
Do I want to see Brady throwing it up to Moss in tight double or triple coverage? No thanks.
One on one coverage? Feed him as long as he's making plays and that's what the team needs.

We have bingo. This is what it's all about. Who cares if Moss has 0 caches. If they handle business, Moss did his job.

Just give Brady the time he needs to read the coverage.

Why should we force the ball to any player given our personnel on offense? We've got enough weapons for chrissake!

Brady admitted, when they were close to beating the records, that he did force the ball to Moss, but that's not the case anymore, Brady will do what he has always done, he'll throw to whom ever is open, but I think Moss will have a fine day today. Nobody in this game is better than Tom Brady in a game like this. I figure Tom will take a nap before the game and come out relaxed and poised, and hopefully tear the Giants a new poop shoot!
GO PATS!

What people don't get is the Randy is contributing even if he doesn't get multiple catches. Classic example was the SD Game. He drew 2 DB's to the back on the end zone with another playing off him. That opened Welker underneath and a TD.

Randy is doing a job!

There's more to it than that. Moss made a big $$$ sacrifice to come here. He'll do what's necessary to win a ring today. If he's not part of the plan today there is no way he comes back. Several players (not Patriots) have made comments that Moss is adamant on getting the ball today. Anyone who thinks he will be happy to be a decoy or blocker today is just kidding themselves.

In the games where they force it, they score more points and win by more points. In the games where they don't, the other team is usually within striking distance in the 4th quarter. I wonder what type of game this will be tonight.

He said the other day he wants to retire a Patriot.

I don't think having a small day means he doesn't come back to play for us next year.
