Default Sen. Specter's $$$ from Comcast!!!

WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE?!?!?!

This has nothing to do with cameras or spying or walkthroughs!!!

I'm starting this thread in the hopes that someone from the media will pick it up.

You can verify this by going to Opensecrets.org. http://www.opensecrets.org/politicia...?CID=N00001604

Arlen Specter has taken $153,600 in campaign contributions from Comcast or those affiliated with Comcast as employees or through its PAC.

The ONLY firm which has given more money to Specter is the law firm Blank Rome, LLP, which REPRESENTS COMCAST and which has given Specter $358,453.

So, Specter's two largest contributers, who have given him over half a million dollars, both have an interest in getting the NFL to cave in the war over access to the NFL Network.

Come on folks, this whole story is a set up by Comcast, using Sen. Specter to tarnish Goodell and soften him up in a negotiation worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

What's sad is that taxpayers money goes towards this moron's salary as well. I'd feel sorry for people in Penn. but living in MA. has plenty of this as well.

Recession, ongoing war, presidential elections... do priorities exist any more?

I agree with you - but for correctness, the talk of a recession is as accurate as saying the Patriots cheated - it's the popular thing to say but as of now it's simply not true.

Regardless, this is why we need term limits, these professional politicians stink and the people refuse to vote them out if they bring home the bacon with earmarks.

I guess my only advice for change in government is to vote the incumbents out of office. That is every US citizens responsibility.

I am frustrated that the media has not played this part of the discussion up a bit. There are clearly motivating factors here beside him looking out for *cough* the public interest. I have emailed florio to see if he will add this to the rumor mill. hopefully it gets picked up from there.

Unfortunately it's a proven fact that everyone wants all Congressmen to be replaced - except their own

Yep, they're all scoundrels except mine. He helped get that new cloverleaf up by the mall, and we needed that. The rest of those bastards are just interested in pork.

I am switching to verizon for the internet and direct or Dish network for the cable.

Enough is enough.

I believe there was a thread about this yesterday. I also heard it being talked about on ESPN today, taking the position that it's no longer about the Pats but about Godell and anti-trust, with interest in Comcast.
Not to worry, this will be played out for the next few weeks. I'm putting all this garbage where it belongs and focusing on this truly wonderful game tonight!!!!
