Default Does Moss know something we don't?

...in terms of Josh McDaniels? Here is what he said (from Reiss):

"2) On his first impressions of Josh McDaniels. "When I first got to Massachusetts, I flew in to take my physical and Josh picked me up at the airport. He told me he was the offensive coordinator and that he calls the plays, and he told me his age. I was kind of overwhelmed because we are in the same age bracket, and I didn't really know what to think, to be honest with you. ... After being here during minicamp and training camp and seeing how the offense was made and designed, I thought he was probably -- if not the best -- one of the best offensive coordinators in the league when it comes to scheming, calling plays and making adjustments. ... The good thing about is he's young and his upside is very high. The bad side of it is that I don't know how long he'll be a Patriots coach."

Hopefully this is just nothing more than some speculation!!!

I think he is pointing to the fact that chances are next year he will get a HC job.

Right, he'll get a HC job sometime, not sure about next year - and I think TOzgood is reading WAY too much into it. WAY too much.

He could also just be looking at past Pats history and sees that they lose assistant coaches every year for the last 3 of 4.
Naw, Randy knows nothing of Daniels future.

I think we all know what Moss knows. He will be a Head Coach. Maybe next year maybe not. But he has had Two maybe three requests for interviews this year. Expect the same next year. And the next year. He is on the fast track.

I really hope some of you guys aren't employed as detectives or employed in a field where making logical inferences and conclusions is required of you.

It is quite possible that Josh will leave this year. In his statement he did not say he wasn't willing to take a head coach job next year. But that he was focusing on the post-season. What he could have meant by that is call me Feb 4th.

At the time there was three jobs open. Ravens - mess. Falcons - mess, Dolphins - mess and in the AFC East.

Redskins - not a mess; in the NFC.

Could be an ideal job.

He's giving props to McDaniels by saying he's good enough to be HC, which will happen someday but he doesn't know when that will be.

One would think that McDaniels would know that he will have oportunities down the road for this and would take the Mangina story as a lesson.

I might be mistaken, but has McDaniels even interviewed with a team who hasn't yet filled the HC spot yet?

If not it would literally be impossible for Moss to have any insight into this other than McDaniels mindset, which I doubt he talks about to players, as the last time I checked teams don't hire HCs without interviewing them first.

I've been watching all of our previous super bowl wins as well as all of our 2007 games again, on NFL network and I hate to admit it, but I think Josh is a better OC than Charlie was. Let the controversy begin...

I have no problem saying it. He's a better offensive coordinator.
