It seems to me that the Giants are a team that is overconfident.
When you take away a special teams and a garbage time TD away, they lost by 17.
It is one thing to be confident, which is good, but it is another to be over confident.
I have a feeling if the Pats go up 14-0 or 10-0, two scores, that the Giants will implode with the thinking what the hell is going on.
If anyone read the ESPN article today, the Giants are one of the worst teams ever to make it to a SuperBowl.
I think the Giants are overplaying their cards, and I think they think they are better than they really are.

Mike and the Mad Dog in NY were echoing this on Friday. They don't like the fact that the Giants have been all over the place (games, interviews, HBO, Letterman), while the Patriots are really nowhere to be found.
I don't think it's fair to say you can 'take away' any of the Giants scores.
The ST TD was aided by a bogus penalty, but nonetheless, the ST coverage was bad. That's part of the game.
The final drive TD was definitely a big deal. Pats were only up by 10, and if not for Eli's poor clock management skills, they could have had a bit more time on the clock than they did. It took an onsides kick recovery to fully seal it.
How is that not a big deal?
The Giants are probably thinking if their offense didn't go into a shell after getting up by 12, they could have beat the Pats by 2td's.
I do like the fact that the G-men are the only ones talking, and the Pats are still towing the company line. A blowout would be nice, but the Pats are going to have to execute much better than they have been on both sides of the ball to achieve that.
The Giants are going to get smacked in the mouth and that confidence will go away pretty quickly. This is going to be a blowout, and I think everybody can feel it coming.
"They hit you in the Mouth. They are physical team. They run at will. They got a legit QB in Eli. They play smash mouth, lights out. They have won 10 on the road. They are dominant on defense. Its hard to stop this ball club once they get rolling. You know what, I'm going with the giants on this one here"- Typical ESPN Analyst
While I agree that the final touchdown was important it seemed like some of the Pats didn't think so until Rodney got the penalty. There was alot of celebrating going on and I don't think Rodney would have been that stupid if he didn't think the game was in the bag. That being said, he made it far too close for comfort. I also believe that on the first few drives that resulted in field goals Brady was looking for Randy too much to break the record.

"They're the kind of team that, when hit in the mouth, hits back harder. They are a most physical team that often leaves opposing teams with players injured the following week. They run at will, the pass at will, they seemingly score at will. They have what may be the greatest QB in history in Brady who is so good that when he stinks, they still win. They play the game YOU want to play, and are better at it than you, be it smash-mouth, lightening-strike, finesse, or whatever. They have the #5 defense in the league. They're impossible to stop, and you don't have to wait until they get rolling. *****, they've beaten everybody!
"You know what? I'm going with the Patriots here on this one."-That unfortunate thing called "stern reality"

Mike and the Mad Dog are Giants haters. Who cares what they think? So what if a few Giants went to a Knicks game. The Patriots have players that always go to Celtics games. Plus it was the kicker that went on Letterman. Who cares? If the Giants were on HBO what difference does it make... I saw the Patriots on ESPN.

The Giants aren't talking trash... it is the media. If they ask a question what are they supposed to do? Not answer it. The Giants believe they are going to win. If they don't... why show up? Whether they say it or not who cares?

You don't know that? You hope that happens. Don't act like you can for see the future. The Giants may just win?!?!
