This young group of TEs, being mentored by Crumpler in the Patriots system, will become a dominant force in the NFL in 2011. If they stay relatively healthy for a few years, they will become a legend and earn a nickname that will be etched into the fabric of NFL mythology. What a fantastic way for Crumpler to leave a lasting mark on the NFL. I sure hope there is a season this year, cuz I'm very fond of this young, talented team.

Sure hope so. Made me think of a weird question, an odd fit here but not worth another thread: If there is no season, does this year count as a year contract wise? In other words, if a player signed a four-year contract before last year, and 2010 was the first year of the contract, then there's no football in '11, is 2012 (if played) the second year of the contract? Or the third? And so on. I'd hate to lose a year from the contracts of all these talented young players BB has accumulated.

On topic -- I'm psyched about the TEs too. Nickname? Maybe "The Brute Squad" from Princess Bride, though that doesn't do justice to their receiving skills.

I keep seeing the potential of these guys when Gronk and Hernandex lined out wide left with Welker. Welker caught the screen and the TE's just leveled the defense and Welker ran it in for the score.

If they keep doing that we can call them the Breakfast Club for serving up pancakes (and sure you can try to apply deeper meaning about a group of young kids being together and causing mayhem, but nah).
