Default Once again, falling behind the Jets

From National Football Post: Jets kicking around ideas | National Football Post

"We had a really good meeting the other day, Rex and I, with our staff and two things we're working on is improvement and trying to take a little time when we can but really focused on improving," Tannenbaum said.

How are we going to keep up with these guys? Why don't we hear about our coaching staff having a good meeting? Why aren't we hearing about the Pats trying to improve, and taking time to focus on improving? It's the old 'double-whammy'. We are DOA this year.

I think our coach said something about trying to improve. It's hard to tell, he mumbles a lot.

Because unlike the fat mouth Jets we don't tell the media everything we do. We are humble and don't worry about what outsiders think. We are not falling behind the Jets "Again", or at all. The Jets have beat us one time that matters, big deal. Further, they have built their roster for the short term while our roster is built for the short and long term. Who won the division last year? We are going to win it agian and I only hope we see them in the playoffs this year. One big win in a decade doesn't count as the Jets doing everything right. It counts as the Patriots having a bad day.

They are probably talking a vote on which snacks they will eat for 2011.

Wow! I suggest you take up some hobbies or something. Because if this is how you are acting at a few coaches meeting up during a lockout out I'd hate to see how you will act if god forbid the Pats lose a game or two, especially to the Jets.

I'd love for the Patriots brass to call a press conference to discuss the fact that the Patriots coaching staff is still working.

The Jets crave people talking about them. They actually need the attention now.

Brilliant.

In fairness to Tannenbaum and the Jets, these are the types of puff pieces we are getting during the lockouted offseason. The Jets never miss a chance at shameless self promotion, but this is a case of the media looking for anything to write about that might be remotely interesting.

This isnt what you guys think it is. What they are really talking about are TWINKIES!! See a little known fact is that Rex and the others are trying to buy out Hostess Twinkies. Hostess told them to go screw themselves. Rex being mad because he needs a GOD DAMN SNACK is planning an Oceans 11 style robbery. Dirty Sanchez will hit on the owners 16 year daughter to keep the owner of hostess occupied. Bart Scott and long time friend Terrel Thuggs(hes in this to) will open the gates to the twinkie factory. Rex and the other coaches will drive in with 10 trucks filled with the other criminals the jets signed. They will steal as many boxes of twinkies they can then drive back to Giants stadium and have a GOD DAMN SNACK!! Then after their GOD DAMN SNACK, Rex will start video taping his criminal players playing with his wifes feet.

THE END!!!

Youre talking about a team that's won maybe 2 division titles in its team history, and is still basically the mule of a football team in a 2 horse town. Theyve got not one, but TWO big brothers. Of course theyre gonna talk themselves up any chance they get.
