Default Patriots working out?

Ive been hearing a lot about Mark Sanchez leading workouts with Jets skill players in California and Eli is working with his receivers in Hoboken. Anybody know about what the Pats players are doing during the lockout?

They are mostly tight lipped about that stuff. (Taking after their coach, I assume.)
One of the rookies let it slip that he got the number of a veteran running his own mini-camp thing. I don't know who was the vet and I forget which rookie. (Hey, I don't know them by voice yet.)
I assume every team has something like that, but NY media thinks the Jets and Giants are special.

I think Carter said he got the phone numbers and I'm pretty sure Williams said something about working out with the team too.

You would think Brady would get something going, that would no surprise me at all.

Can't see Mankins doing it, maybe Welker or Wilfork, has to be someone with clout.

The Jets are (not surprisingly taking after their coach) making a huge deal out of how hard their backs and receivers are working at Jets West. [Well except for Cotchery, Ewards, Holmes, and Green who aren't working out.]

I assume the Pats are doing something somewhere and just not bragging about it.

There's an article on NFL.com right now about Woodhead

Quote:

Woodhead wouldn't say whether he was working out with teammates.

"We're just trying to keep each other accountable and get ready for the season and just expect there is a season," he said.

I would be more than Happy to hear either Wilfork or Mayo leading the defensive practices.

I know all the DB's (except Page) were working out together for a while, they were all talking about it on Twitter. They'd play "Credit Card Roulette" to see who would pay for the meals.

FYI for people; Meriweather, McCourty, Bodden, Butler, Brown, Page, and Sanders are on Twitter.

I remember Mayo saying that he Brady were calling other players to make sure that everyone is staying in shape. Didn't sound like anythiing that was a large group. A little disappoiinted that they're not doing something like the Jets, Saints and other teams. I bet earlier Brady would have had everyone together. We'll see if this hurts them when they start playing.
