Default One simple reason PATS will win...

Eli will make a mistake, not Brady. Honestly - we can disect all the match ups, game plans, etc but I cannot see a scenario where Eli trumps Brady. In that big setting of the SuperBowl, Eli will surely have some butterflies. TB has been there 3 times already - he will be as cool as they come.

Eli will throw some bad passes and interceptions. This is different from the previous games for the Giants because now they have expectations. Big, big difference.

Just can't fathom Eli and Giants beating us after 60 minutes.

GO PATS!!!!

Simple is fine with me. As I've said, barring turnovers (NYG aren't a big turnover defense like SD is) or bad weather, I don't think we can score less than 31 points; and I don't think the NYG can score more than 24 points. Sounds silly but it is what it is. Only way we lose is turnovers, ST TDs for them, etc. Or if the special foot really is hurt.

You're exactly right. There are any number of little things you can pick on where the Giants might have some small chance to exploit a weakness, etc, etc. And you'll hear all of those in the next two weeks, because that's what the media does. If the game isn't compelling, it's useless to them.

That said, Occam's Razor is in effect here: All little angles, outside factors, pressure aside, the New England Patriots are a superior football team to the New York Giants in all three phases, and more often than not, that is going to carry the day.

Last Sunday, last year in Indianapolis, and before that in Denver should be enough to convince you that Brady is human and fallible and can be outplayed on any given Sunday. Not that I expect it. Fortuantely, he is the best and he is surrounded by the best team.

I can't remember an example of when he played 2 poor games in a row, frankly my recollection is that he comes back from a poor game with a monster game. I'd call Sunday a poor game, I wouldn't want to be the Giants.
