Default warren on the bubble

article on marcus stroud at profootballtalk. the final paragraph states that Ty Warren may be on the bubble if he doesn't have a strong camp. Got to be just idle babble from the writer.

I think the only way Warren is on the bubble would be if doesnt return to health. When Healthy he easily our second best dlinemen.

But the position is deep and a lot of the depth was hurt last year which might highlight having healthier players as the hurt players didnt help much from the tub down the stretch last year.

Most national media gets it's insight from locals and Rappaport for one has opined that the team was not pleased with Warren's decision to forego off season surgery for some time only to opt to have it done in lieu of this season which left them shorthanded. If they feel they've not gotten value from him to date they may decide to move on as was reportedly the case with Seymour following his 2006 deal.

I mean come on, the guy skipped the off season so he get a degree and then he puts off surgery until training camp. He needs to prove he can still play.

Stroud strikes me as a two point signing. First as contingency plan for Warren, and second as someone to split time with a developmental rookie right end. Warren will likely land on the PUP, but barring his injury being a Bo Jacksonian death blow he will absolutely make the team.

I would like to think having the surgery late last summer would mean he wouldnt need PUP.

It's a hip, man. Most important part of the body in football. Every bit of training you do comes from there. I could be wrong, but I bet it took along time for him to be able to train again.

but didn't he have the hip surgery last year at the beginning of the season. He has been rehabbing since then, correct? I would think that if that is the case, then there wouldn't be any reason he isn't healthy enough for camp.
