Default Tips for Tailgating?

Me and my friend got tickets to (hopefully) both upcoming games and I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for some first time tailgaters? Keep in mind we're both 18 but we're taking a pickup so plenty of carrying capacity...

Thanks alot

Don't drink and drive. Plan on getting there when the parking lots open (usually four hours before kickoff).

Thanks for your insight, but I don't believe you drive while tailgating so that's outa the question.

You're begging for advice and then get snippy when someone gives it to you? Not cool.

His advice has nothing to do with tailgating, and do you honestly think I didn't know that?

sorry the other answer was a d1ckhead... be there 4 hours sharp, not 3 1/2, pregame.. park in P2 if you are coming from the north... i would always pick a stadium lot (P-whatever.. cheaper, closer, and no one is getting out quickly anyways). if you bring a grill, bring food for after the game too... we always fire up the grill again after, cook some food, and watch everyone else b1tch about traffic.
dress in many layers... are you bringing a grill? if not, someone will share their's... just be prepared to share your shots/booze with them... if you bring a grill, start it immediately (4 hours pregame)... at 1 hour pregame, pickup your stuff and head in; it will take that long to pick up, go through security and find your seat... no booze for you in the stadium (must be 25 if out of state)... so drink first... i know people who have smuggled nips in, but they do pat you down (but not closely)..
if any fans tell you to sit down while you are cheering, ignore them, then, eventually, tell them to stand up and make noise... there are a lot of annoying "sitters" as we call them.
have fun, hope that helps

He did tell you when to arrive, so that's something.

But "honestly", I don't care.

If it's cold park next to someone with a fire. We usually have a pretty good one going in P7 near the overpass (we can be found by looking for the crazy aholes burning the opposing team's hat).
