Faking an injury.

I feel kinda hypocritical about this since Willie Mac did this in Indy on the "Goal Line Stand", but seriously, every time the Pats picked up the pace, someone would come up lame and cause an injury timeout. Then they would sit out one play and come jogging back on the field as if it never happened. This isn't an excuse thread, the Jets came to play and deserved the win.

The way I see it, this is a huge loop-hole in the rules that can't be closed. How do you penalize a guy who claims he's injured, you can't as far as I can tell. Maybe make him sit out the rest of the series if the team doesn't use a time out? I hate that the Jets are starting to make Football look like the other Football.

I don't think the rule will be changed..it is just one of those things that we know teams are going to abuse but have to deal with it.

I didn't see the Pats pick up the temp until the game was over... This is a non-topic. Jets beat us, we had no sense of wanting to win that game. We got punked and bullied, like last year...

They definitely faked a couple of injuries there, but not going to criticize them for it. It's a valid tactic.

Don't be that guy, you sound like a colts fan but thats not surprising considering how many people were so enamored with Brady, the MVP talk etc.

Holy Boo Hoo.... Thread. FYI, the Jets kicked our @ss today. If faking injury is part of their gameplan. Kudos to the Jets for excecuting that. At least one of the two teams out there was willing to do what it takes at all costs.....

Not for nothing but when were the Patriots up tempo?? The 1st drive of the game?
Their slow methodical play (down by 2 scores and they use up 8 minutes on a drive they get no points from) pretty
much all game long but especially in the 4th qtr was maddening.

They certainly did do this but still they beat us fair and square. They did nothing outside the rules.

I do disagree with one thing, they could close this loophole easily. If someone causes play time to stop from an injury, they should have to sit out for a set number of snaps. If they really were injured, they would anyway.
