Florio sprinkles a little opinion throughout, as is his MO, but basically he lays out the various scenarios for what can or will transpire as or immediately after this CBA runs out on March 5. Again, the options are a new CBA, a lockout, a union decertification to avert a lockout.

Reading it I kept going back to the Mankins situation. With the uncertainty of a potential lockout or no free agency, I wonder if it might work in favor of getting him resigned. If the Pats present their last offer, maybe sweeten it a little to give all sides a chance to claim victory, hopefully a new deal can be hammered out.
Does he really want to take a chance that he might be in the same situation next year without that big payday or do you take the sizable contract offer? There comes a time when the you balance risks and rewards and you have to decide whether to go with deal available or do you play Monte Hall and go with door #2.......
