Default Excessive Celebrating?

ok i'm an IDIOT, i know that already. can someone tell me why Moss got flagged for excessive celebrating ( or whatever they hell they call called it ) because he jumped onto a patriots player standing nearby but on his last TD there were three or four players celebrating and they called zip.... what gives? what was so different between the two celebrations?

No, it was because Maroney came over and shook his ass a bit when Moss was doing his little Riverdance... lol

It was a BS call, but the officials thought it was a choreographed celebration, which is illegal if it involves more than one player. Looked pretty spontanious to me, though... honestly, can you picture the Patriots spending time choreographing a TD celebration? Belichick would skin them alive.

Yeah, but I think it'd be freakin' hilarious if the entire OLine busted out in Riverdance...

Maybe they could get Papelbon in for an afternoon to show them a step or two....

it was a BS call. Whenever a player has a TD, he dances or jumps up and down or goes nuts. If the ref was not happy at looking at Moss's ars, he should have asked for pats cheerleaders. I'm sure pats will send them right up for 16-0 compliment room service.

i thought the ref would enjoy more if pats cheerleaders danced.

I thought it was thrown because Moss SPIKED the ball. That was the event when he [the ref ] reached for the flag. They hadn't even started jumping on each other or slapping each other yet at that point. He flagged them very early on in the celebration (was clearly visible in the replay - but not live).

It wasn't due to the spike... The view in which you see him throw the flag, you CANT see that Maroney had come over and did a hip shake.

I don't see how. The guy run through our formation like a hot knife through butter. You could shift his staring point up or down, so what? He only had 70 yards to run, but once he got past Gostkowski he could have run for a thousand yards without anyone catching him. That penalty only affected the starting point of his return, not the end.
