...just one thought. I don't want to overburden my mind with thoughtS since this is a big game.....and I'm old,
It occurred to me that Monday night is going to be a bit chilly. Nothing much by NE standards, just in the low 30's, high 20's. Still I seem to recall that Senor Franchize isn't exactly in love with our weather. Wasn't the first time he played in the real cold the last time he played in Foxboro?
No one has made mention of it, but Sanchez only played 2 other games besides that, in the cold weather. The first was against a Bengal team who was taking the day off, and that same hapless Bengal team in the Playoffs, where IIRC, he wasn't much of a factor in the win.
So while the weather is "supposed" to be clear, we won't know about the wind until that day. I don't think the "sanchize" likes the cold, and he CERTAINLY doesn't have Tom's experience with bad weather. It might not be much, but its something I haven't heard much about this week....and its something.
BTW- I can't help but notice that there are some OTHER people on this board and in the media, who are NOW lauding, yours truly's favorite CB. Sorry but I just couldn't stop myself.

OTOH it is also the first "cold" game for Spikes, Cunningham, Gronkowski, Hernandez and a few of the other young un's.. Mesko also may have had limited cold weather games as well as the college season usually is ending by this weekend.
I get all the news I need from the weather report:
Monday: A slight chance of snow showers after 4pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 38. West wind between 9 and 17 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Monday Night: A slight chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

McCourty was a first round draft pick. Should you expect less from a first round draft pick?

Hernandez is from CT and Gronk is from the Buffalo area, so you know he knows about the cold.

Gronkowski and Hernandez were born and raised and played high school football in cold weather. Cunningham was born in NYC, but I don't know how long he stayed there since he played in GA during high school. Either way, the two big weapons will be fine, even if you believe as a rule that a bit of cold weather will have a drastic effect on players.

This genius move was followed by trading out of a spot where they could have gotten the last decent receiver in Robert Ferguson and settled for tackle Matt Light, who will not help any time soon.”

Who would have thought our Best Offensive pick would be a OG Logan Mankings in the Pioli era? Think of the flameout Offensive picks Graham = didn't live up the First Round billing. Ben Watson = tease; Maroney = Bust! Pioli sucked on the Offensive side of the Ball but hit homeruns on the Defensive side.
The cold weather will affect the quarterback, more than the receivers. Unless there's snow/rain on the ground which changes the traction passrushers/offensive line have to play, Brady and Sanchez will be really the only two people who will have to work to deal with it.

Last I checked only Bart Starr did better than TB in cold weather games.
