Sorry, not meant to start a new thread but couldn't find my old thread.

I just want to congrat your team and come back to eat some crows.

I had a lot of thoughts last night but was to sober to type. This morning,
with headache and still pain in the gut, all thoughts are gone but just want to say this.

The Patriots are an amazing team and you'll go 16-0. I only watched NFL
back to the day of Montana and must say that yours air attack is probably
the top one (I was too small to remember how Bradshaw and Lynn Swann
hooked up).

My nightmare happened. The whole game, me and my pals yelling, Don't let
them get behind you... but it still happened. Double on Moss please. It still
happened. So frustrating.

Something about our defense that we just couldn't adapt. You beat us the
same way with safety biting on stupid fakes. Me and my pals just prayed for
no cheap points, no easy TDs. The Football God hates us.

The Pats are great because you guys are so versatile. You find so many
ways to win. We just have zone blitz and can't play Tampa 2 or cover 2 for
whatever reasons.

I just wish Tomlin can say to Smith what Belicik did to Merrisomething...
What the eff does Merrisomething know about slot receivers in the NFL (?)
But Tomlin is too young and not enough respectability to yell at players like
that.

We are a bit of bad luck too that we didn't score on 2 tries in the red zone.
If we meet in the playoff, I think it'll be a more competitive game. And I hope
we win

It wouldn't surprise me to see your team back here in January. It's a tough road to by Indy, but you've done it before. I suspect the defensive schemes would change to stop the deep ball. Stopping it has been done. I see that they stopped TO dead in his tracks yesterday too. It can be done. The problem is that everything has a price.

Good luck going into the playoffs. It looks like you have a rock fight with the Browns. That's not a bad offense over there!

Geez, good catch - - why didn't this hit me???????

Of course! In TC, one of the very first quotes from Meriwether was about how good his experience would be having to cover a top slot WR like Welker in practice and how that should prepare him well.

Seemingly innocuous, but it became a pretty public humiliation when it leaked that BB ripped him a new one in front of the team by reading the quote from a newspaper the next day and screaming something to the effect of "Who the F$$$ is Brandon Meriwether to be making such pronouncements? He's just a dumb rookie who doesn't know his ass from his elbow yet......" while the rest of the team snickered.

The Patriots lockerroom is better policed than any other out there.
