Default Looking forward...

The Steelers game had me the most worried of these games towards the end of the season, I admit - coming off of several tough, tight, physical games on the road, and with a short week to rest and gameplan.

And the Pats did great. Home field is clinched.

Now, it's two games against some of the worst teams in the league, at home, followed by another potentially tough game thankfully just a short jaunt down 95.

Now that home field is clinched, it will be interesting to see how long if there is more rotation in of backups during the game, and how much we use the game to give a few less snaps to starters.

I doubt we'll see too much wholesale resting of our first line, but I suspect we will see some more rotation deeper in the order both at the beginning and end of a game, and if a game starts getting out of hand seeing more front-liners across the board.

I wonder how often if at all we'll see Human Victory Cigar Cassel in the fourth? And will BB keep the pedal down against the Jets or confound our expectations?

Mmmm, it's a good time to be a Pastry fan

Not just yet. They clinched a first round bye but it takes one more Pats victory or Colts loss to get HFA. As of now, the Pats could go 13-3 and the Colts could go 14-2 giving them home field......

Relax guys. We will beat the Rats and Fish easily.
There is only 1 goal..........that SB

The only other issue is being 15-0 and playing the Giants what BB will do.
Does he play the Vets into the 2nd half to go for 16-0 or rest them?

When they had a first round bye in '03 and '04 they played starters well into the fourth quarter. I would expect much of the same this year.

The degree to which I like a player or coach is predicated solely on the color of the laundry they wear on Sunday. When fans admit this and stop bashing players and coaches for any other reason, the world of sports will be infinitely improved.

I agree, especially in the last game of the season with the Giants, I think that BB will see the Giants as a playoff team and let the starters play the whole game. They will be coming off of back to back weeks against 2 teams with a combined 3 wins. I don't think you want to go into the playoffs not playing against quality competition for over a month, so expect the starters to play into the 4th quarter against the Giants.
