Default Nick Kaczur

How do you guys think he has played ?Watching the nfl matchup show and it seems as per the 'experts' he is the one being targetted ? i have seen him break down a bit since the colts game and could be a huge problem today with haggans and harrison. Man ..watching all these breakdowns by these guys makes me feel we are a 4-8 team instead of 12-0.

I think he's done a good job. you're right, they 12-0. when he's needed help they've put a tight end over there.

i'd say the pats haven't adjusted as quickly as they should've at times, we've seen that when he's gotten blown by from mathis. he's been solid but has trouble with speed guys at times just like light does.

Yeah I saw that. They were also saying that he gets exposed by speed to his outside. Hopefully we will have some help over there for him. After seeing that replay of Brady getting burried into the turf, I feel lucky he is still in one piece.

A lot of this stuff can be handled by schemes like running to that side, screens, and draws that wear those speed rushers down. Sure, you can't let him hang out there alone all day against Harrison, but that is a tough job. Let's face it - the defense only has to win that battle once in a while to disrupt things. It's pretty hard to win that battle all day long, but they are aware of that. If their schemes work, Harrison's name won't be mentioned often.

Overall I think Kaczur has been a disappointment this year.......He has been getting manhandled almost weekly.....so has Light......I guess they are going to have to start lining up a TE alongside of them to stop the rush.....early on our OL play was excellent as far as pass protection is concerned......Past few weeks alot of exploitation.....Hopefully they can get it back on track this week!! GO PATS!!!!!!!!!

Good points.....I expect a heavy dose of Maroney out in the flat.....screens......when he gets a little space/room to get rolling.....He is deadly.....I would expect a possible LONG run after the catch by Maroney today!!!!

Offensive lineman have a tough job, if they make 99 out of 100 blocks and the one they miss ends up in a sack then they are not performing up to expectations.

He has made some critical errors in 1:1 situations that have almost gotten Brady killed, Thomas - Eagles, Mathis - Colts, there have been a few others as well. Our running game has been inconsistent but I have yet to see him demolish anyone like Mankins.

The drafting of 150 lineman raised the level of competition across the board, he emerged as the best option of the group and for the most part the pass protection has been superb. I give him a C+ / B-.

Kaczur is certainly the weak point in our OL (I'd rank them Koppen, Mankins Neal Light Kaczur with Hochstein pushing him). He's not a bad RT though - at least he's not Winston Justice.

OL is tough to plug-n-play too. Our line has been together since 05. Even the backups have had time to gel. Its tough to fix the one weak link without hurting the whole chain.

Do you think BB and the coaches, and of course Nick himself, might use these breakdowns by other guys as an extra input to evaluate the issues and address them?

I would welcome these detailed breakdowns by others if it provides our coaches and players some insight that they might have missed during their mindboggling daily schedules.

As a fan, yeah, I agree that it makes us look quite vulnerable but I guess as a team on path to set various records, we have to expect a detailed and thorough scrutiny on every step of ours.

it was ridiculous....in the ravens game there wre at least 2 instances were THREE ravens lined up like right in fornt of nick....and brady did not change anything....he prob thought they were gonna drop back in coverage, but thy didnt....one guy, one o-lineman, cant take 3 rushers, its impossible, and brady got sacked....it really wasnt nick's fault some of the time
