Default Gary Guyton's night

Guyton came out on fire with a batted ball, a sack, stoned Moore for short yardage and then pressured Roethlisberger lat ein the half into throwing an incomplete.

He was playing like his hair was on fire. I think he may be quicker now that he lost some of the bulky weight he had earlier in the season.

The guy did redeem himself a bit last night, but I am still worried about him on the field. He has still given up too many plays this season to think he turned the corner after one game.

They did seem to have him lining up outside last night. Possibly that might be where he is better suited.

I saw him run right over an RB on his was to Roethelisberger (sp? - Note: Spell check suggested 'Spitsbergen') to get a sack. I was very surprised.

I've always been stoked on the guy. He's a remedy for a lot of ills, as long as his assignments are flexible. He's not an every-down anything, though he could become a great TE stopper and blitzer.

the batted ball play was awesome. Those are such huge plays and i love it when they happen.

It seems as if most players don't ever try to do that anymore and i don't understand it.

Also, on another play, Chung rushed Big Ben and broke up a WR screen play b/c he had his hands up and Ben tried to throw around them. They need to keep it up.

My sentiments. After game one he reverted to contact shy form. I had stupidly begun to give up on him. Nice to see this still developing player internalize the coaching and nice to see the coaches positioning him where he can best utilize his talents. I LOVE seeing a blazingly FAST pats D especially after the last few years of watching our once great defenders wind down slowly like a aging clock.

If I'm not mistaken Guyton was only on the field for six or seven snaps against Cleveland. Perhaps he had a little extra incentive to try and show that he should be on the field more often.
