Default Schelerth and Hoge

watching now..iam quite stunned ..hoge says the ravens ran on for almost 4 quarters ..they keyword being "almost"
ultimately they made the stops and got INT, they made things happen and won the game.
and now watching him he finally turns into the old hoge and says..their arrogance is catching up to them being one dimensional and not running enough
schelereth thinks the pats dont work on their run blocking even in practiceand they choose not to run and it will catch up to them

anyone care to point out the ravens are 2nd in the league in run defense ?

2nd in run D and 1 or 2 in red zone D IIRC.

So, what's the issue? Why expect these guys to be factual? The get paid for appealing to the wider audience. The wider audience hates the Patriots and wants them to lose. Very simple.

The amount of yardage the Ravens got on their last eight runs (2 yds total)
and they had 6 carries for 4 yards in the 4th quarter....They ran ALMOST the whole game, except when t really counted...

I agree with what they said. It's clear that they either don't have faith in Maroney and Faulk or Josh McDaniels doesn't know anything about balanced football.

When Sammy Morris was playing you saw a different offense. You saw 3 TE's 1 WR, 2 TE sets, 2 backs + 3 wides on and on. Now it's ONE look.........3-4 wr shotgun going 3 and out killing the defense to stay on the field.

I agree especially considering the number of hits Tom Brady has received the last two games. At least the appearance of a Patriots running game would slow the opponents pass rush.

but we are playing 2-3 good rush defenses as well..and remember we are thin at TE now with thomas out so we dont have many 3 TE sets. i think it really makes no sense to run maroney or faulk for 1 yard gains just keep balance against a good run D. i expect them to play the same against the steelers. But if they do the same against a team suspect against the run then we shall see.

That's right. How many times have we seen the Pats get beat up for the first half and come out and smack the other team around with their adjustments (in the last five years)?

Maybe the adjustments came after the third quarter when BB had the D in a huddle while completely ignoring the offense on the field. I think they might have made their final tweaks right then because that's when they really shut the Ravens down for good. Three and out, Three and out.........It wasn't the Ravens' miscues that gave the Pats more chances as much as the string of defensives stops the Pats pulled out at the end of the game that gave Brady more chances to score.
