Default Official 'How is McDaniels Doing' Thread

McDaniels is absolutely blessed this year with Moss, Stallworth, Welker, Maroney, Morris, Evans, and BRADY. Any average coordinator would have success when every offensive player is almost unstoppable.

I think McDaniels is a very good OC, not elite but very good, however what are your criticisms of him for tonight's game (and for the season)? I think for the season he has done well, but tonight to not go to any running back sets, no play action or screens, to basically play 5-wide all night, is disappointing.

Basically, we won tonight because of our immense talent, not because of our offensive play-calling. The play calling tonight was TERRIBLE.

I like him, he's done a great job this season, and one bad game is not going to change that.

The fact that there were hardly any adjustments at halftime proves to me that McDaniels isn't as creative as people think. Anyone who hires this guy as HC will find he's just another Norv Turner benefitting from tremendous talent.

what did he do wrong this week ? not run the ball in the first half ? We score 17pts on 3 possesions !! and missed a possesion because of the onside kick. in the second half the eagles changed their coverages and we went into a more running style offense.
i thought he adjusted as well as he could to score 31 pts without the moss PI. After the way our D played tonite i honestly dont think our offense needs to be mentioned at all. the other team is also going to make plays-not everyone is buffalo.

The Pats scored 31 tonight, and this could have (should have) been at least 34 if not for the missed field goal, and really 38 if not for the blown PI call against Moss.

We had 10 drives tonight. One was the last kneeldown, and one was the one where we punted with only a little bit of time left. Those two excepted, the other eight drives resulted in FOUR TDs, one FG, one missed field goal, one turnover on downs (deep in Philly territory), and ONE punt.

And you want to call a game where we punt ONCE an example of problematic playcalling. Hmmmm...I guess we're spoiled.

This is a great example of where fans will wake up tomorrow, realize that the attacks on the Pats' coaching staff was idiotic, and undertand that our team is capable of winning games even when the other team executes a well-designed game plan to near perfection.

I'm glad I understand this now.

I am a McDaniels fan and supporter, but I thought tonight's gameplan was really, really bad. The only thing I can think he was doing was to tire out the Eagles defense by using the no huddle and asking them to blitzing every down. But when we didn't have the ball for most of the first quarter or half, that strategy wasn't going to work.
