Default Some Notable Stats to Date

  • Jerod Mayo - 2nd in the league with 61 tackles.
  • Tom Brady - 6th in QB rating with 98.5.
  • Zoltan Mesko - 3rd in the league with a 41.6 NET.
  • Brandon Tate - 2nd in the league in kickoff yards with 620 yards.
  • 2nd also in average with 32.6.
  • Patriots 10th in yards per game with 354.2.
  • 5th in points with 154.
  • 1st in PPG with 30.8.

  • Patriots 30th in yards per game allowed ... 383 ...
Oh well ... just a few ... it's amazing how focused the media is on stars and yet when we look at stats we do not find many Patriot players. Even more amazing seeing the yards per game allowed which is evident in the game day thread weekly.

Yet through it all we are 5-1 which puts us on pace for a 13-3 season ... amazing.

the only thing that matters is getting a higher seed than Pittsburgh. I would be happier to go 9-7 and be the 6 seed with those Steelers eliminated than be 14-2 and be looking up at 15-1 Pittsburgh.

True and a very amazing thing ...

what i would really love to see is the kind of stats Bill uses ... really love to see those.

The stats, the models - projections - how they relate to pay ... it would be fascinating to see.

The 2004 Pats say hi. You know, the ones that went 14-2. And thrashed a 15-1 Pittsburgh team. And won the SB.

Was just about to say we could beat Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh since we've done it before.

That was like climbing a mountain ... oh how Bill, tom and Bob have changed perception.

It's not ideal, but I won't fret. We've spanked that ass before.

“On a day when they could have had impact players David Terrell or Koren Robinson..they took Georgia defensive tackle Richard Seymour, who had 1 sacks last season in the pass-happy SEC and is too tall to play tackle at 6-6 and too slow to play defensive end. This genius move was followed by trading out of a spot where they could have gotten the last decent receiver in Robert Ferguson and settled for tackle Matt Light, who will not help any time soon.”
