Maroney is going to be just fine - he's young, he's still learning and in the process of developing his own style. Not every NFL star comes into the leauge "made to order".

thats right for all you nonbelievers, i said it, and u can bank on it (i think)...
this is the game which will mark the beginning of the rest of maroney's career...
this is where we do not see a kid plagued by injuries, it is not where we see a dancer instead of a burster, this is where we see potential before our very own eyes...
stay tuned, and you will watch the best runningback in the NFL....as there will be no doubt to that statement in 2 yrs time....
but all good things begin somewhere, tonight is where Maroney, the true Laurence Maroney will be unleashed....
prepare to be delighted pats fans....
prepare to fall prey to misfortunate timing Bills fans...
your saying hes not explosive? are u insane? watch him more..his acceleration is as good as you see in the league at RB.
I watch him every week. Like I say, I like him and I think he is a solid back, but he's not a "top 5 back in the NFL" type back. He's not a game-changing, playmaking type of back. That's all I am saying.
I mean, honestly, are you telling me you would not trade Maroney straight up IN A HEARTBEAT for any of the following backs?
Adrian Peterson
Willie Parker
Joseph Addai
Deuce McAllister
Marshawn Lynch
LaDanian Tomlinson
LenDale White
Reggie Bush
Mo Jones-Drew
Now, THOSE lads are what I would call EXPLOSIVE!
Not a knock on Maroney, as I say. He's a solid, servicable back and a nice kid, but just NOT explosive, IMO.
I love New England, but that doesn't mean I think EVERY single player we have is the best at their position! Now THAT'S insane!

Exactly. Right now. He's a good, solid back. Maybe he becomes more, maybe he doesn't. But to deem a top back right now is just not logical.

I don't see anyone making that argument. You're arguing against a straw man.
And the fact that you just called LenDale White explosive lost you the shred of credibility you had left. And no, I wouldn't trade him for McAllister, Bush, or White.

Personally, I felt that way after taking the liquids before my colonoscopy exam

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck." RAH
