Default New thread ideas

I'm trying to keep up with some of the new threads by coming up with some of my own, but I'm struggling. There's a real lack of imagination in coming up with preposterous threads masquerading as plausible dilemmas.

I tried this first:

Should the Patriots Hire Tedy Bruschi as Defensive Coordinator?

Then I thought that no one would believe the premise--anyone would rather work at ESPN than for the Patriots.

Then I tried again: Should we try Rob Gronkowski at left tackle and move Matt Light to Conolly's position?

The I recalled something that Bruce Armstrong once said: "Once a tackle, always a tackle."

Finally, my last shot: Gostkowski is pretty fast and athletic. I wonder if he can play on the punt team?

How do the other posters do it? They manage to give you a plausibly-preposterous argument. I can't do it.

I think I'll just stick to threads that are like this:

OT: The Patriots Linebackers Need to Improve Coverage in the Middle of the Field.

At this point you could make a thread about trying to **** prairie dogs out of your *** and it still would be more constructive than the other threads.

Other fail-worthy ideas:

1. Wildcat: Discuss
2. Sign Adalius Thomas
3. Belichick's record based on type of hoodie worn during the game
4. Breaking: Patriots sold to group led by Jeremy Jacobs

"People say, 'What will you do if you don't play football?' Why would I even think of doing anything else? What would I do instead of run out in front of 80,000 people and command 52 guys and be around guys I consider brothers and be one of the real gladiators? Why would I ever want to do anything else? It's so hard to think of anything that would match what I do: Fly to the moon? Jump out of planes? Bungee-jump off cliffs? None of that s--- matters to me. I want to play this game I love, be with my wife and son, and enjoy life." - Tom Brady

The sad thing is that 3 of those threads have already become reality.

I had a idea but it answered itself.

If Al Davis died and Mick Jagger bought the team would the Raiders sign Randy?

Of course not because a Rolling Stone gathers no moss.
