99%, the front office won't let him get away unless he demands ridiculous money, which he won't.

i just hope he really loves new england and winning and will take less money that other teams will pay in order to keep him.

I just dont know why they havent signed him allready. The more TD's he gets. more money he will want. Could have 20 td's! sigh him!!

I'll go 3 in 4.

The 1 in 4 is reduced to only "you never know."

The rest? Moss has said he has enough money already. More is good, but prolly won't be the deciding factor. He's always gotten a bad rap, some might have been warranted and most has been written by bitter journalists for bitter readers, all salivating for a reason.

He's older now. While far from being a pissed-off kid with a few bucks in his pocket, he's still a bit of a pissed-off man with a desire for respect and legacy, I imagine. But...as his mentor in Minn has stated, repeatedly, and his teammates in NE now say, he is driven, intelligent, misunderstood, and...well, they don't understand what all the fuss is about.

Moss had stardom thrust upon him because of talent. There is little to show that he has ever saught stardom. He just is a star. With the good and bad that comes with it.

He's never had a better situation in his life. The big, bad (and some pro-athletes, some publicly, prolly most privately will say cold to blacks) Boston media has been good to him. The fans adore him, even the one-time nay-sayers who thought he was the debil. Except for Manning, there is NO debate about quarterbacks. The Pats are perennial challengers or holders for the NFL championship and appear to be so for the foreseeable future.

Moss is the gifted kid who prefers to sit in the back of the room and just do his work without being bothered with stupid sh.t. The Pats have the A's to hand out to him. If Moss is not back in a Patriots uniform, it will only be because he will be in Colts uniform. This can not be allowed to happen.

Hey all...first post here...

re. Randy, how's this sound to go along w/ our new "Evil Empire" image we now sport (and I happen to love): 666

No way Kraft and BB let Randy go, both from a performance, as well as a business standpoint, and I doubt Randy wants to go anywhere else after tasting this. Balance it out, and Randy stays for a contract that is:

$6 million/year
6 year contract

and wtf...a total of 6 rings for Brady and co. That makes 3 for Randy over those 6 years. Tough, but doable.

Randy is playing nice this year, and cooperating, but my take is that Randy does have an ego that will need some tending eventually. What will check that and bring him into the fold over the long run is prospect of what could be accomplished w/ this team, coach and w/ Brady. Glittery enough for any ego, and besides, the endorsements he and Brady could one day make together would probably dwarf their current paychecks.

666, yeah baby!

Totally awesome, dude! Moss was bad for business when he was signed. The die-hards thought he was the debil, the fair-weathered said "Hey, I've heard of THAT guy!" Of course, in Pats history, the die-hards are a pretty slim breed.

To stop being a total axs: IF Moss signed for 6 for 6: I would stop wishing there was a way that I could write a letter to thank him that he might actually read, I would make every certainty that I would find a way to thank him personally for ever coming here in the first place, nevermind staying.

Id give Moss realistically about a 98% chance of signing. He's always wanted to play with Brady. he's always wanted to play for a winner. he's always wanted to play for titles. he's never wanted to be a leader by more than by example. he respects the other players and the other players respect him. and he's gained everything from football a player could want besides a ring and a legacy. he'll be a Pat for the rest of his career. There's a 2% chance something flukey could happen like Moss retiring after the season. Possible. Just not likely. I think he'll probably sign a 4 yr deal with a base of around $3 or 4 mil a year with bonuses that can get him to around 6 or 7. he understands financial sacrifice is part of the Patriot way, and he's made a mint already. He'd probably be signed already if not for collective bargaining.

This is Randy Moss we are talking about. If he thinks he can get ridiculous money he will try to get it. If the difference is a hundred thousand it probably won't matter, but if the difference is a million-plus he won't pass up that kind of money.

Hes not A-rod aka A-fraud or A-money. He loves the Patriot way and he realizes that the Patriot way, is the only way.

Depends on what price he puts on winning rings, on glory and being beloved by a loyal fan base and on being in the Hall of Fame, all things that will be his if he stays in New England. I think Randy Moss wants all of those things. He will retire a Pat.
