Default If Not Now - When?

That's how I feel about today. If we can't beat the Colts today, when will we beat them ?

We're pretty much healthy. They have M. Harrison out or way less than 100%. Ugoh, a rookie, is not 100%. We're coming off the best first half of a season ever.

If we can't win today, I have no idea how we'll beat them in Indy in January. Today MUST be the day.

Agree. No excuses this year. We need to smack them in the mouth.

When Patriots Game Day opened with the shot of their 2006 Superbowl banner hanging from the rafters of the pony dome, I figured that is all the motivation these guys should ever need. The Superbowl won against a Bears team we owned who was exactly who Denny Green thought they were...

During the regular season in '05, Indy was clearly the better team. Prior to '05 the Patriots were clearly the better team. Since then it's been too close to call. In the '06 reg season game Brady threw 4 picks, and in the post-season the defense collapsed. Those two things sealed our fate the last time these two teams played.

I think it's back to the point where we're clearly the better team. I'd consider it mildly fluky if we lost, and if we do lose I won't be worried about going into the dome in Januray again.

Easy solution: don't think that way, be an optimist. Believe 100% that this Patriots team is MUCH better than the Colts, and that they will show it on the Indy turf.

By about 6pm we'll see exactly how dominant this team can be...I have a feeling that after today the entire NFL community--the idiot columnists and talking heads, players across the league, and fans everywhere--will realize what I've believed since early in this season: this is the best collection of football talent ever assembled in the NFL.

Agree 100%. It's put up or shut up time today. If the boys don't deliver the goods today it will be demoralizing.

well..they said the same in 2004 about indy when the colts came to foxboro in the AFC Div game and our secondary was beat up. Still they came back next 3 times and beat us.

The question of this thread is my concern as well.
The Patriots have not been this healthy against the Colts in a long time. If the Pats were to lose a tight one, I'd say it would be demoralizing, but not destructive. A blow-out, and the Colts would be in their heads.

I'm just way too excited about this game, and realistically speaking, these Patriots are like nothing the Colts have faced since the Brady/Manning era began. The defense is still similar, but it's healthier. The offense is something else altogether.

The only thing i see derailing the Pats is turnovers. Brady in the past 3 games has thrown the ball like Peyton was doing in the first 6.

Can't agree more. If we're 8-1, that just shows to me we can't handle the best. It's time to get their pride back and punch the Colts in the face.
