I really wish I could get a no-BS straight answer from Belichick about how much does he look at the big picture of the season when it comes to the many decisions he has to make... specifically when game planning and dealing with injuries. I don't think I've ever heard BB say anything other than the usual one game at a time mantra, along with putting players returning from injuries back in whenever the training staff says they are ready. What I want to know is do they game plan for this Indy game with a potential rematch in mind? Or does he just look at what the Colts are doing and attack what he sees as their biggest weakness? I'm sure it's a little of both, but you never hear BB talk about the big picture of the season, it's always just one game at a time. Will he take extra time to bring someone he knows he will need for the playoffs back from an injury? Will he put Seymour on PUP eventhough he may not need to just because he knows a healthy Big Sey will be vital to winning another Super Bowl? He would never say it in public but privately behind the scenes I wonder if it's things like these that could be an unnoticed part of his genius.
