Default Bruschi Interesting Take

They're talking about running it up on Patriots Replay on Patriots.com . I'm going to paraphrase Bruschi:

The defense is trying to preserve the shutout even at the end of the game. It's never right to let them score. So why shouldn't the offense has the same opportunity?

absolutely. fans pay to see a football game. both teams should play hard for 60 minutes regardless of the score. if the other team doesn't want to play anymore, the refs should call the game.

Yeah, and I know there's a million threads on this already. But nobody ever says it's wrong for a defense to shut another team out. I don't think that's EVER been said.

So why is it supposed to be different for the offense?

I think this could really be the end-all argument to the talk

Bruschi is just such a smart, good guy. I wish he'd make the Hall.

Sadly, I doubt he makes it to Canton , but, IMO, he better be inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame opening weekend the season after he retires.

Your kidding right? People that hate the Pats are going to shut up about our offense because of what Tedy says? Somehow, I don't think so. Rationally, it makes complete sense, but rational thought is often lacking from the Pats detractors.

A sarcastic Bill Belichick on Tom Brady's finger injury, "It's not life threatening."

Not to mention an onside kick by the Skins after they scored.

I think a lot of people miss your point - people pay a LOT of money and invest a LOT of time watching professional football. They deserve a full 60 minute effort by both teams. Somebody's notion of "ooh, you're too far ahead" is pure hogwash.
