The Redskins Quartet
When I was stationed in the service in the Washington area in the mid 70s, the Redskins were one of the top teams. Among other things, there was a weekly TV program on Sat. morning called the Redskins Teepee(or something like that). Anyway, 4 of the Redskins players formed a very good singing quartet that was a feature on the TV program each week. Because this quartet was so good, the TV program decided to have a contest to name the group with candidate names being submitted by the listening/watching audience. A panel of judges then chose the winning name and this was announced on a Saturday program.
Does anyone have an idea what the winning name was? If not, I will reveal it tomorrow.
