Funny story... a few of us were outside Fenway yesterday evening, hoping against hope to get some decently priced tickets for last night's game (no luck of course).
We were on Landsdowne Street, down by Avalon near Gate B (I think), near the WEEI studios, where they were broadcasting Ordway's show before the game.
Up pulls a limo and we expect some rich guy or celebrity to get out of it... out of it pops that pseudo-celebrity Jared Folgelberg (Jared from Subway), that nerdy guy from the Subway commercials, with him was an assistant or two and what looked like a bodyguard or security agent (yeah, people are just dying to mob that guy). He also shows up once or twice a year on the Subway sponsored CBS Pre-game show, wearing his # 18 Colts jersey, where he talks up the Colts while pimping his Subway sandwiches.
Everyone pretty much ignored the guy, but there was one couple that stopped him and got their picture taken with him (must have been Rockies fans).
As he was leaving with his entourage and walked past the WEEI studios (who were in a break and playing commercials over the speaker), someone comes on the microphone over the speakers and yells "COLTS SUCK !" prompting Jared to wheel around and look up in total surprise up at the speakers. A couple of other Sox fans see his reaction and start chanting "Colts Suck ! Colts Suck !", and we all of course joined in on the fun. Seeing the guy's reaction was priceless... clearly he wasn't expecting that sort of greeting from the public outside of Fenway... welcome to Boston, Jared !

That is funny! I can now imagine the 8 threads this will start over at the DIMSTAR and the uproar by all the bandwagon fans over there after their lurkers read about it here!
Good on ye, Bostonians. If I were there, not only would I have joined the chant, but I would have given him some Sone Cold Steve Austin double-barreled middle fingers one inch from his gay face.
I really, really hate everything - and everyone - dolts.
