Default What's with all the complaining?

Why in the past two weeks are so many turning into worry warts where the Patriots defense is concerned?

Romo and the Cowboys offense generally puts up 34-35 points per game and had gone over 300 yards passing every game leading up to the dual in Dallas. The Cowboys and Romo against NE only put up 21 offensive points with Romo only putting up 199 passing yards, but for some reason I see posters on here crying about NE's defensive performance. Am I missing something here?

This week NE's up 42-7 after the first half, a first half in which NE's defense really only allowed one sustained offensive drive. The second half comes and the Dolphins start moving the ball easier, and eventually put two junk TD's on the board. For those who didn't notice, the Patriots were using backups a lot more during the second half, and they were playing a very soft defensive scheme. The point of using that defensive scheme? Allow the Dolphins to move the ball at the cost of eating up clock. Now, the Dolphins did move the ball and the Patriots did miss some tackles on defense, but don't for a second think that was NE's "A game" defense in the second half.

Let us also remember Richard Seymour will be making his way back onto the football field sometime soon.

The more games we win, the more important it is to run around screaming the sky is falling.

Nothing to worry about, we'll play better defense if/when we need to. Miami ran the ball well ? They had a great running game coming into the game. Even bad teams do some things well.

Sebman, you've proven yourself to be a knowledgable, intelligent, and grounded football fan since I've been fiddlin' about these boards.

That's why it surprises me that you're so wrong with your assessment of this game.

Ha! Not. Spot on and thank you for providing a good thread with facts that are grounded in perspective.

Some people are really not intelligent. That explains most of the perplexing stuff that gets posted around here.

That and a lot of Patriots fans grew up Red Sox fans, too. They have *****ing and moaning in their blood.

Thanks. I missed the game and that's what I wanted to know. Solid point about trading time for scores: didn't SD have a TD drive in the second half vs. NE that took about six minutes? I'm okay with that. Now, about that tackling...

Yea, it seems like ever since that AFCCG some Patriots fans start getting anxious at the smallest sign of trouble. If you don't believe me just read the game threads....
