i didnt know of the near cheap shot
Quote:
* The good news is that Cowboys safety Roy Williams only maimed one player Sunday. In addition to being forever lost in coverage, he's one of the dirtiest players in the league.

This time he used a legal take-down on tight end Ben Watson, but in typical fashion, he made sure to drive him into the ground with all his force, causing an ankle injury. The guy is one horse-collar away from being suspended for a week, but he doesn't act like he realizes that. After the game, he offered some helpful tips on what angle we should take:

"Brady is a good quarterback, but don't discredit us," safety Roy Williams said. "Just because we didn't stop them on third down doesn't mean we're not a good defense."

Yes, he regularly drags guys down like that in a purposeful attempt at injury.

Whether he holds that by the shoulder pads or not, it is his signature move.

He also basically CLOTHESLINED Kyle Brady in the mid-section - totally on purpose, just pi$$ed off and trying to hurt him - after his TD.

As a Giants fan, first Id like to say thanks for the win yesterday

Secondly Id like to say Roy Williams is the biggest cheap shot artist and most overrated player in all of football

I mainly watch NFC East football and thanks to Directv's shortcuts I get to watch virtually every cowboys game.

There is not a safety in the NFL who is worse vs the pass then Roy Williams, he is by far the worst coverage safety in the NFL. He's a dirty scumbag, hes OK in run support. Hes Chuck Cecil, is what he is

The only redeeming quality Roy Williams has as a football player is that he can hit. And so many who absolutely don't know football just look at that and rate him far better then he is. Every time the Giants play that team the entire game plan revolves around attacking him in the passing game and time after time the Giants offense succeeds in doing so.

GREAT hitter who can lay the wood, awful vs the pass, and a cheap scumbag. All in all Roy Williams is an undersized LB masquerading as a safety and the fact that hes ever made a single pro bowl in his career is proof that often the pro bowl voting is complete nonsense

I have never ever seen a Safety that awful in coverage in my entire life. He is in the lower 1/3 teir of Safety's in the NFL and anyone who watches that defense play regularly knows that

You've didn't watch SB 39? Dexter Reid would certainly give our friend Roy a run for his money.

At least Dexter Reid is now out of the NFL and the damage he was able to inflict on his squads pass defense has been minimized. Roy Williams continues to suck week in week out, he looks like a fish out of water when he gets beyond 10 yards of the line of scrimmage

As a Giant fan I hope they keep him forever because its easy money in the passing game, but at the same time playing him twice a year you always know that punk could do something dirty and completely change the complection of a teams season

I am sorry to hear that. The NFC East is one grim division to watch.

LOL. The AFC East is just chalk full of contenders right now? Lets me put it this way. It wouldnt suprise me if you already clinched the division. I dont see the Jets, Miami or Buffalo even winning 6 games

The NFC East is far and away the best conference in the NFC. Thats not saying a whole lot. And we are the division of champions. 10 superbowl victories. But lets call it like it is... There are the Pats, there are the Colts, and then there is everyone else. The rest of the AFC is nothing special. Pittsburgh is pretty good, we'll know more later in the season. Im not buying Jacksonville with Garrard as a big time team. Baltimore with that offense? Sorry, dont see it. Tennessee? None of those teams are at all better then the best teams in the NFC. Maybe Pitt, MAYBE.

There are the Pats, there are the Colts, and then there is everyone else. Those two teams just happen to be in the AFC. Thats the only reason for the perceived disparity between the conferences right now.

Cool Re: Roy Williams

I thought stopping a team on third down was very important to a defence.....the coaches(including BB ,who I tend to listen to) all emphasize that...
