Default Tutorial: How to start and end a Jets Game Thread.

There are 3 easy steps to starting a New York Jets game thread.

Step 1:

The easiest part of the process, and the most overwhelmingly popular way to start the thread is by the post - J.E.T.S JETS........JETS.......JETS!!!!!

Go Jets!!!!!!!!!!

Step 2:

Can be filled with a variety of optimistic observations. Such as:

Pennington looks sharp today.
Vilma is the MAN!
Thomas Jones is a BULL out there!
This game is where we turn the corner to our playoff run. BOOK IT!

Step 3:

I recommend that these posts be typed while jamming a Phillips-Head screwdriver into your thigh.

Not as optimistic and filled with more vitriol than Step 2. Most of these posts can be polar opposites of those posted in Step 2. Some examples:

Pennington sucks sooooo bad! I wanted Clemens as starter all along!
Vilma just doesn't get this defense. He's too small. Why did we draft him?
Jones is such a bust. We stink at getting free agents.
So where do you think we'll draft next year?

Transference also can work in Step 3 posting. The vitriol should be directed at benign factors or opposing teams whom are OBVIOUSLY working towards the Jets demise.

Examples:

Thanks to Belicheat, everyone's taping us. We'll never win!
The refs are paid off. This Sucks!
I blame Belicheat!
I know we're not playing them today, but I hate the Cheatriots with every ounce of my body!

Step 3 can then progress to a more realistic stage with posts such as:

MANGINA IS....a good name for him!
Tannenbaum should be fired!
We'll never see the playoffs again!
God this team sucks!
How can we assasinate Pennington?

also.......I Hate the Cheatriots can apply here.

I hope this was helpful.

Good luck and enjoy participating in the misery.

I joined in on a JI game thread a few weeks ago and was banned for the comment..."When does the genius part of Mangenius kick in." Now, that is all that is wriiten about the two-faced rat.

At least the Jets are doing better than my Rams. Ugggh. I hope we have players at the end of the year, or John Shaw and Jay "Ziggy" Zygmunt, who are the main front office guys may start raiding all the boards to find people to play.

Question from the Rams FO: Have you ever played football?

Some poster on the board: Yes, I played catch with my father; or could say with his son.

Rams FO: good, we got a contract, what position can you play? We need them all. Plus have any friends that you can call that you can play with?

Fill in after that

Hey, Jack. I'm sorry for you, man. Can't you at least beat those d*mn 49ers for us?

But the Jets fans are something special -- the hubris followed by self-destruction is unique. Thanks, Slagathor, you hit the nail on the head!

They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Well, Pats fans should be invincible by now. [Fitzy, 16 November 2009]

We lost to the 9ers at home already. That was week 2.
