Practice squad move
By Mike Reiss, Globe Staff

The Patriots have signed defensive back Gemara Williams to their practice squad. Williams, a second-year player who spent 2007 training camp with the Patriots, had been released Aug. 18.

"I think he's in a good position to potentially move up to the roster," said John Pace, Williams' agent.

Williams flashed some promise on kickoff returns in the preseason, returning two for 64 yards in the preseason opener against Tampa Bay. After that game, he had been sidelined by a hamstring injury.

Mrs B won't be happy that her #1 cut candidate is re-signed.

Sounds like a good move...they were 3 players under, so I am sure it's all part of this week's roster moves...NOT AT ALL surprised.

Believe it or not, it's not the first time JSP posted it on this board:

Who makes the team that is a shocker?

And, for people who are wondering, this link will explain all.
