Default The forgotten man

Junior Seau anyone? The Captain?

A beast at ILB last year against the run. Barely mentioned this preseason.

That 1-2-3 combo of Thomas, Bruschi, and Seau WILL be dominant.

I do wonder how the rotation will be go on throughout the season and I think AD will be moving from ILB to OLB on passing downs. But you are right I think Junior will be an integral part of the team and will play alot. I think he gives the Pats an emotional edge much like Rodney does.

I think that we'll see all the ILB combinations except 1 (Seau/Bruschi, Seau/Thomas, Seau/Vrabel, Bruschi/Thomas, Bruschi/Vrabel). How the rotation will be will be the most interesting part. The interesting thing be seeing how Thomas does stunting to the outside on the pass rush while Vrabel drops back into coverage.

I kinda hoped Junior would stay away for part of the season with the clear intent to return to the Patriots by the bye week.
Good to see he's back, though. He was playing well before that nasty break.

Why? The guy is fine.

Just wanted to minimize hits for half the season.
I trust him to make it through the last 10 games more than all 16.
Yes, an injury can happen at any time, 1st game or 16th.
Would have been perfectly happy with him not around, but knowing he'll come around for the bye week.

I was at the unfortunate disaster of a game when Jr broke his arm. I admit to negative thoughts about our playoff prospects at the time.

I believe that Seau is stronger, and in better shape than Bruschi. I would limit Bruschi's reps before Seau's.

Look at the pic of Seau on the Globe's website. The guy is ripped.
