it is true that P2/lot3 has less space but it is still a big lot, and coming from the north is still the best place to park if you are going to park on stadium grounds IMO. i imagine that with less spots, it will certainly fill up earlier, but we usually get there within an hour of the gate opening anyway for tailgaiting.
the first preseason game, my dad got this idiotic email from the pats that included the following:
Quote:
If you're coming from the North:
Save yourself time by staying to the right and parking in P10. You'll have more time to tailgate with easier ingress and egress. You will have to cross Route 1 at the marked pedestrian crossings, but P10 is still your best bet.

i followed what it said and stayed to the right to get to P10, noticing at the time that P2was 3/4ths empty but it was too late to get over to the left to get to it.
once we got in P10 we were fine, we tailgated and it was easy to walk to the stadium. i had assumed that since the pats sent out this mass email that said that P10 was the "best bet" for cars coming from the north, they would have some sort of traffic plan worked out with state police that would include a way to let us make the left across route 1 to get back to travelling north to 95. NOT TRUE! not only was there no plan like that, the state troopers that were there told us that the ONLY option would be to make a right out of p10 and then go south on route 1 until 495 and use 495 to get to 95.
the second preseason game i got into p2 with no problems.
i think for the regular season it will be different and there will be a competition issue getting into p2, but i don't mind leaving early enough to beat the crowd.
