Well this looks like our final 53 before the beginning of the season. IMHO, Rashad Baker is just holding a spot for Rodney for 4 games. I also think Herron has Corey May's spot from last year, and if he plays good on ST I think we will see him stick for awhile.
A quick look at the roster shows that probably the spot with the least depth is CB, we only got 4. Meriweather is the emergency 5th.

Also I think CB is pretty deep with 2 quality starters, a solid backup and a washed up vet. DL looks very thin without Seymour and Mike Wright. This means Kareem Brown will be getting some snaps against the Jets. I could see them adding someone like Bobby Hamilton to the mix until Big Sey comes back.
Just imagine - after game 4 we add Harrison, after game 6 we add Seymour and maybe Brown or Jackson.
Defensive line (6)
Ty Warren
Vince Wilfork
Jarvis Green
Mike Wright
Le Kevin Smith
Kareem Brown
I thought Rashad Baker got cut... I must have confused someone else with him.
Anyway, I'd have to say the biggest suprises for me were:
Cuts:
Caldwell
Rogers
Wesley
Those who made it:
Herron
Baker
James
Thomas (I didn't think he would get called up from PUP)
I'm not shedding tears over losing Mills, but I am a bit upset about losing Rogers. Oh well. I am still keeping my fingers crossed on Elgin.

Anyone have some facts about Herron as a player? All I know is that it's projected that the Vikes had plans for him on their PS, but BB signed him. Are there any noteworthy TC news or reviews of this guy's play in the pre-season indicating that BB plucked a better player than those cut or placed on IR? Those would be Rogers (yes, I know he was considered an OLB) and Lua.

Special teams guy. Projects to be ILB in our system.

Obviously, Green and Sanders will be the starters until Sey and Harrison come back. Troy Brown should be back too, which will be good insurance policy if one of our WR goes down.
Chad Brown is on the shadow roster. If have problems at OLB, expect Brown to be signed.

I'm surprised they let Mills go. Outside of that, everyone seemed to fall into place. Caldwell was my pick for surprise cut anyway.
