Actually was able to watch most of the game, with the exception of NE's first TD drive.
* Someone explain to me how Bam Childress is *not* an NFL player. I realize that he is in a numbers crunch, but I have to think that he is better than 10-20 WRs that were on rosters last year.
* CJ Jones was kicking ass as a return man. Quick acceleration, strong runner.
* While I missed one drive, Cassell looked pretty good. He seemed to carry himself very well on the field. Even with NY starters in there, he made quick decisions and keeps his head up despite the rush. I hipe he is never needed, but I am more optimistic about him than I was before.
* Lua my boy. See you next year. Despite all the pub, I don't think you were ready yet anyway.
* Alexander looked like a man amongst boys out there. He was in on virtually every play.
* LeKevin continues to look like a solid backup at DE. I kinda wished he looked like a solid backup at NT, but whatever.
* Woods made a few plays, but I expected more. Everything I heard made it seem as if he was ready to take a big step forward, but I have yet to see it.
* Of course the only defender of real consequence gets hurt with a frickin minute left in the game. I wouldn't worry too much about Meriweather if it weren't for Wilson's injury. If both of these guys have longer term issues, the FS position is now manned by the triumverate of Sanders/Gay/Andrews.
* Despite his injury, Meriweather played a good game. I would like to see him disrupting more plays, but he is definitely willing to mix it up.
* I suppose that it could have been the fact that he was playing with backups at WR and on the OL, but I came away unimpressed with Vinny. Yes, yes, I know he is just the emergency QB, but shouldn't a guy like him look like a worldbeater going against future car wash employees?
* Goodbye Mills. Hello Rivers.
* I wouldn't be surprised to see Kight go on IR just to keep him around another year.
As always, I am sure that I forgot something. I welcome your thoughts.

Looking at the stats, Woods seemed to be on fire. 2 sacks. 2 forced fumbles. I didn't get to watch the game so I don't know the exact plays they happened on.
Yep I am pretty sure Marcellus has a roster spot in the palm of his hands.
Will Dante Wesley make the team? I understand he faced a bunch of scrubs tonight but he impressed me none the less.
I wish Bam could make the team but it isn't likely. CJ Jones looked good tonight but again someone who isn't making the roster. Bam as a running back is cool.
Eric Alexander was very good tonight.

They'll find out Randy can't run consistently anymore. He'll drive [Tom] Brady and [Bill] Belichick crazy. This is just my personal opinion from what I saw: He's losing his legs. He's becoming an old man fast.

I remember one of the sacks/FF, but not the other. Maybe I blacked out or something.
That said, I still see him get blocked regularly by 2nd and 3rd string OTs.

Thank you for mentioning him. Depending on the health of some, he could make the team. He defintiely jumped over James, IMHO.

Good review. As far as you could tell, how bad did the Meriweather injury look? Let's say this was the first quarter against the Jets, would he continue playing?

I don't think so. He limped off on his own power, but he looked to be in some pain immediately after the play.

If he's getting blocked by the 2nd and 3rd string OTs, where is the DE who is supposed to be taking them out?
You could be on to something. Maybe it is more a function of poor DE play.
