Default Remember Maroneys boy?

Laurence Maroney gave his full endorsement of Gary Russel and as fans we laughed when we saw his poor 40 and bench raps at the combine.
Well he is currently the leading rusher for the Steelers this preseason and watching him here in PA on tv he shows a lot of power in his legs always driving for extra yards and toughness when he takes hits.
Maybe Kool Aid was right about his boy.

Put the number on there for that year. And the next year we start all over again everybody is at the same point."

Nice to see the kid turned it around, hopefully the Steelers family steers him away from trouble and Laurence can be glad for his friend.

I'm not advocating trading for Russel or anything i'm just pointing out how everyone here laughed when Laurence suggested the patriots draft him caught up in how he did at the combine.
Instead of taking a mans word who trained with him and played with him while in college.
Just saying we all kind of made a mistake if Russel's performance stays the way it is or increases over time no way he doesn't make the Steelers roster.
