Josh Miller knows there are two young Patriots punters in Tom Malone and Danny Baugher currently competing in NFL Europa who will make their presence felt down the road in training camp.
He also knows how the club tried to keep Todd Sauerbrun in its grasp by matching an offer Denver had made, only to have an arbitrator rule the punter’s contract was void.
The way Miller looks at it, big deal.
He’s healthy now. The way he feels, you can bring anyone in. He’s not worried about making this team, or any team.

While Baugher is competitive over 8 games at a lesser level of competition, the crafty old vet would seem to have the inside track. Baugher is doing well for himself though - it would be really sweet if someone needed a punter badly enough to offer a 7th for him.
