Default OT- Does Philly have a situation going on ?

I have read where Donovan McNabb is mad that they drafted a QB so early.
Just wondering if you think there is a problem going on with the Eagles?
I am NOT fan of them; just wondering
thanks

I read that too. Given that McNabb seems to get injured frequently, I think Philly does have a legit need for a strong back up corp. Seems a bit diva-esque to me if it's true.

Well if he gets hurt,
and Kolb plays like Brady did in 2001,
Then McNabb will be in trouble.

But I don't think Kolb is that good.
those system qb's from houston would have scared me off from drafting him so early.

McNabb is overrated and has been for years. I think Rush was right about that, but the reason isn't his race, it's because he's in Philly.

I think that pick was moronic. McNabb is one of the best 5 QBs in the NFL when healthy and they are pretty deep at QB. I know Kelly Holcomb and AJ Feely (<--I hate you) aren't the best QBs, but at least they all have experiance. I really don't understand bringing in a QB in this draft this early. Go get Troy Smith or one of the undrafted guys (Leak, Zabransky, Palko) later in the draft if you have insecurity about McNabb's knee. I hated the Eagles' draft.

McNabb just keeps making me like him less and less. I'll never forget during one of McNabb's press conferences in the week leading up to Superbowl 39 when someone asked him he he believes Terrell Owens made him a better QB and McNabb got mad at the guy who asked the question as if he was insulting him! Not only is it blatantly obvious when you look at his numbers before Owens that Owens DID make him a better QB, but it was the fact that he so unwilling to give anyone else credit for the team's success. (Keep in mind this all happened before the Owens drama when everything was still sunny in Philadelphia).

It isn't his place to tell his team what personnel moves to make and he needs to realize that he hasn't been able to stay healthy his whole career and the team is just protecting itself. He is also on the wrong side of thirty and not getting any younger so it isn't completely unreasonable for the team to start thinking about the fututre. Does that mean they don't like him or they want to get rid of him? Most likely not. That being said, he is still the starter and he should worry more about rehabbing his injury and preparing for the season than throwing a hissy fit about who his team drafted. If he is going to be the McNabb of old then he really has nothing to worry about. The fact that he is so insecure that he can't take a little competition tells yu something.

Lot's of people are saying that, and I agree as far as Kolb, but as Box pointed out in another thread, the Eagles grabbed Stewart Bradley and Tony Hunt just ahead of the pats in the 3rd. If either had been available, the Pats may not have traded their 3rd round pick to Oakland.

I think the Eagles got some solid players later in the draft but they could have had a very good receiver in the 2nd to help Mcnabb instead of drafting his backup/future replacement. They must really like Kolb.

I think the dumbest move the Eagles made was trading out of the first round with their division opponent Dallas so that Dallas could move into the first round and get the guy they wanted.

Yeah but I don't feel that was enough to salvage trading with a division rival, and taking a QB with their first pick. I would be very upset if we were to trade down with you guys and allow you to get the guy you covet.
