Default Draft Trade Chart of picks 24 and 28

According to this draft trade chart http://www.profootballtalk.com/draftchart.htm

Pick 24 = 740 points

Pick 28 = 660 points

Total = 1,400 points

Pick #8 = 1,400 points

Hypothetically, what if the pats were forced to trade the two picks to acquire Houston's #8 pick, who would you get and why?

S Laron Landry- he could be a Rodney type enforcer back there for years to come.

Although highly unlikely it will happen, I would get Landry if available. BB was rumored to want to move up for Sean Taylor so it would make the most sense. Wake Forests' Josh Gattis has reminded some people of Rodney so they may go in that direction, having the real Rodney tutor him. Incidentally, here is my mock as it stands right now (Compensation picks assumed):

Round (Overall#) Name (Position) - College

1. (24) Chris Houston (CB) - Arkansas
1. (28) Jon Beason (MLB) - Miami
2. (60) Surrendered for Wes Welker (WR)
3. (91) Jason Hill (WR) – Washington St.
3. (Comp) Paul Williams (WR) – Fresno St.
4. (123) Josh Gattis (S) – Wake Forest
5. (Comp) Tyrone Moss (RB) - Miami
6. (165) Ryan Harris (G/OT) – Notre Dame
6. (187) Jeff Rowe (QB) - Nevada
7. (219) Surrendered for Wes Welker (WR)
7. (Comp) Jeremy Clark (NT) - Alabama

I'd love to see them pry Lance Briggs from the Bears with a 2007 first rounder and a contingent 2008 pick. The way this offseason is shaping up, who can predict anything?

if not for Landry I could see them trading up for Patrick Willis. I don't think you would have to go as high as the 8th pick to get him though.

I don't think that Willis is as highly touted by NFL execs as he is by the draftniks. He will fall because I think his physical skills aren't as top notch as his collegiate production would indicate. That's just my opinion, so we'll see...

okoye. not a need, but in 5 years, you'll say we should have taken him

I'm impressed. I expected to see a slew of different people but so far La Ron Landry would be the overwhelming favorite. If the consensus continues to be this strong, maybe we will trade up!

Interesting...The Welker deal represents 303.4 points for both picks.
