I'm praying you give huge money to Moss. It will undoubtedly signal the end. When it implodes, perhaps Bill will leave for the Giants or elsewhere.
You've said that numerous times about Welker, that he wouldn't get on the field for the Colts.

He's not getting on the field for the Colts, he's getting on the field for the Patriots. He improves our WR situation. It doesn't put us on par with the Colts in that department but we were never trying to.

Deion Branch would have been a #3 on the Colts last season. Does that mean he wouldn't have helped the Patriots?

Anthony McFarland wouldn't start on our DL. It doesn't mean he didn't improve your defense.

Patsnutme,

So, I can't give an opinion? I haven't called anyone a name or anything like that despite being called names left and right.

That's somewhat true, but the question was whether it makes the Pats a better team than the Colts or not, so it's pertinent to point out the fact that he couldn't even get on the field for the Colts.

I'm not going to use the whole, "We almost won and we've added players so now we'll beat you" argument but it doesn't matter if he wouldn't start for you guys. We started two WRs in the AFCC that would probably get minimal playing time with Indy, if even activated. We kept up in points.

Again, you guys have important players that wouldn't start for us. We have important players that wouldn't start for you. That's true of every team in the NFL.

I've never liked it when fans would break down each position and see who's better at each spot. I see it every year. What's the point? Will the Pats WRs try to get open against the Colts WRs? Will Addai be trying to tackle Maroney? Will Asante Samuel be covering Bob Sanders?

I'm not trying to say the Patriots are better than the Colts now that they have Wes Welker. However, I think he does improve our team and as of now, it certainly looks like Indy and NE are at the top of the AFC.

The pats did upgrade their Wr position with Welker, but thinking he will put up all-pro numbers would be a reach. I will say AT will definately put the pats d back in the top 3 if not #1. Even me being a colts fan, I believe cutting dillon was a no-brainer. Maronney needs to prove he can be the feature back. The same can be said for Addai with the departure of Rhodes. I wont buy into the spack. Im a big enough fan of football to realize our teams will both coast until playoff time.

So, by your logic...

The Colts have downgraded their RB position.

The Colts have downgraded their WR position.

The Colts have downgraded their TE position.

The Colts have downgraded their OG position.

The Colts have downgraded their DT position.

The Colts have downgraded their OLB position.

The Colts have downgraded their CB position.

The Colts have downgraded their S position.

Thanks for playing.

Geez, I so wish we had your salary cap situation and your plethora of first round picks.

One and done. See the 2006 Pittsburgh Steelers? The 2003 Tampa Bay Bucanneers? The 2001 Baltimore Ravens? Study it very hard. That's you.

The team of the decade rolls on.

The Colts have downgraded their WR position. - By cutting a guy who didn't even play last year?

The Colts have downgraded their TE position. - How?

The Colts have downgraded their OG position. - How?

The Colts have downgraded their DT position. - By cutting a guy who missed most of the season after a serious car accident?

The Colts have downgraded their OLB position. - Freddy Keiaho is an upgrade from June. June couldn't tackle a poodle.

The Colts have downgraded their CB position. - Harper will be 33, His backups are Marlin Jackson and Kelvin Hayden, They are better than he is.

The Colts have downgraded their S position. - By letting go a guy who didn't even play last year?

Thanks for playing.
No, thank you.

We have the same situation every year. We rarely sign free agents.

To say McFarland couldnt start on the pats is absurd. lol He could start ahead of atleast Warren. he was the savior of the run defense during the playoff run. Id take a Freeney, Wilfork , McFarland, Seymour d-line in a second. They would be scary good.
