Default Don Davis to retire

Quote:
Patriots LB Don Davis has decided to retire.

Davis played for the Patriots from 2003-2006, mostly as a special teamer. He lasted 11 years in the NFL after making the Jets as an undrafted free agent in 1995.

If this is true, let me be the first to say...THANK YOU Don Davis!!

Time to bring in Deossie.

Oh, and Davis, thanx for everything. Best of luck in your life after football.

Don,

Thank You. You were a an erstwhile opponent in the Pats first
Super bowl victory and a crucial unheralded part ever since. You provided locker room leadership and coverage ability as a LB/S.

I hope you retire to the coaching sidelines and follow in the footsteps of OTIS.

Patriotically,

Thanks Don Davis - this guy played great in 2005 and I wish him well.

Zak DeOssie, hope you get drafted by the Patriots next month.

Don Davis was one of the shining examples of why the Pats total was far more than the sum of its parts.

Best of luck to him in the future.

Great clutch guy. I think our FA and draft will be like the menu at Belushi's SNL Greek restaurant.

Linebacker, Linebacker, Linebacker, Linebacker, frie, (no frie, chip ), Linebacker.

Davis is the sort of class act who occasionally gets me to step down from my anti-religion soapbox.

Thanks for everything!

Now please grab a whistle and remain a Patriot family member.

Don Davis is yet another example of a Patriots type player

one who can adapt to different positions
