Seems to me that proactive is the best way to go especially if the player doesnt have a history of injuries. the longer you wait the higher the price gets.

Anyone else think that maybe making Graham a captain mid-season was a way to try and prod him to follow the precendent of the other captains and team leaders who take less money to continue the Patriot tradition? I have a feeling if that's the case it's not working. Personally I've already said goodbye to #82, if somehow he comes back I will celebrate. But most likely I'm thinking he's gone...

You mean where they talk about signing Koppen to an extension prior to the end of the season and only having to shell out 7.5 million in SB compared to Dallas having to shell out 10 million in SB doesn't support the idea that its better to get an extension done earlier rather than later?

How do you figure that one, PWC?
