Default Dennis Northcutt

Was just listening to Sirius Radio and Dennis was interviewed and is a FA -Wonder if the Patriots are interested,He seems like a smart and hard nosed WR and had a very good interview and sounds like he will do whatever it takes to win, even if he stays with the Browns but I think he would be a nice fit in our system and won't fall under big money type players who demand millions- Anyone think hes a good prospect to grab?

I mentioned him in one of the WR threads. He's of interest to me in a limited way. He's an excellent PR and is the quick, small WR we tend to like. However his Catch% (from football outsiders) was a hideous 49% this past year (Caldwell and Gaffney were in the low 60%). Catch% includes bad throws as non catches so with a better QB he may be a lot better. But until proven otherwise he's a WR of questionable ability - that said, he meets our WR profile and interets me.

I think he would be a nice addition, but Stallworth and or Bennet are my top 2.. plus maybe Bowe from LSU, we have some weapons..

Stalworth is a better WR than I gave him credit for last offseason. But I still think that he will be paid far more than his play validates.

Unless his pay is reasonable I am not even considering him.

I am not sure if the Pats would be interested, but talk down here in New Orleans is that Joe Horn will NOT be resigned by the Saints for 2007. He did have an injury through the second half of the season, which sidelined him. However, if he is healthy, I think the Pats should give him a look-see. He is a clutch receiver. Adding him and Northcutt would be a great update.

As far as Bowe of LSU, my thought is he will be long gone before we select. However, if by chance he is available, the Pats would be crazy to pass up on him.
