Default TE Matt Kranchick signed

http://www.boston.com/sports/footbal...reakdown_lane/

Quote:
The Patriots signed tight end Matt Kranchick to a contract for 2007. The 6-foot-7-inch, 260-pound Kranchick was initially signed to the practice squad Dec. 15.
This would be a future contract, meaning he will be added to the offseason 80-man roster after the Super Bowl.

Jonathan Smith was also signed to a future contract January 4th.

Kranchick ended the season of the Pats' practice squad.

well if these guys were on a team before..doubt they are that good. dont worry..Kranchick is not the answer to replace Graham. Graham will need a much better replacment than this kid

haha,i definately agree.I just looked at is maybe Watson would Start along with Dave Thomas..And They are looking to fill in the TE Depth from there down.I guess I am just worrying a bit much, seeing as We all know Graham and Samuel are the TOP FA's on the Team...Who knows...I just find it amusing..the Whole Matt Kranchick being signed..

His future contract will start March 1, and he will be at Gillette working out with weights and position coach through the off season.

Well, some others teams have signed upwards of 15 players to future contracts.

The Pats are 3 weeks behind the majority of the NFL.

The Colts and Bears will be 5 or 6.
