why would they waste the 24th pick on another tight end, they have dave Thomas and Garrett Mills on the bench!!

In BB I trust, but I really hope he decides to do all he can to keep Graham and Samuel. We haven't had a top flight CB since Law, and what a difference it makes. And how many times as Graham saved Brady's butt? Those two guys are tremendous talents who would be hard to replace.

I can't see the Pats keeping either. It angers me to say that though. Samuel is turning into a top ten CB and Graham is the best blocking TE in football, but besides Thomas, our TE's seem to have butterfingers. Too many drops by Graham for my liking, which is weird, because he won the John Mackey award in college for best TE, and was known way more for his receiving, than his blocking. If I had to choose between the 2, I rather keep Samuel, our secondary is far from a strength. For some reason, like Branch, Givens, Vinatiari & McGinest, I think we will see Graham & Samuel in opposing uniforms, and I'm not happy about that. I would pretty much bet the farm that we will see Samuel in Jet green (Yuck !!) next year, and wouldn't be suprised to see Graham go home to Colorado.

Samuel is hitting his prime and I think he'll get even better. Ty Law was great in '96 and '97, but really blossomed in '98, his 4th year. This was Samuel's 4th year. Since only 5 guys on offense can catch the ball, having one guy on D able to eliminate one of those 5 by himself is a commodity worth paying for. This is why top corners get top dollars. Samuel shouldn't be looked at as a Deion Branch who depends heavily on the QB throwing him the ball. Samuel can be "left on an island", relying on his skill to shut down a weapon of the opposition all by himself. Like Brady and Seymour, I hope the Pats shell out the bucks for Samuel.

Amen. I'd love to see us turn the tide on this problem with these 2 guys. Graham came up huge yesterday, and Samuel has just blossomed into a shutdown top 10 corner.
