Sounds irritated. Is he getting irritated at BB, at the team's play lately or at the reporters questions? Not good to see the Franchise getting irritated. Seems to be happening a lot lately.

I think it's great. Time for a push. They know they haven't been playing great.
Notice Brady mentioned Graham. Elevating Graham and cutting Gabriel maybe be part of the tone they're trying to set.
Being a team player is a big part of being a receiver on this team. Getting open doesn't mean diddly if you're not in the right area at the right time headed in the right direction when Brady goes through his progressions.
I bet this was the problem with Gabriel. Our offense isn't based on winning one on one matchups, but on collectively splitting the defense so if 1-3 aren't open, 4 has to be.
I like it. Hopefully they circle the wagons and get the "its us vs the world" mentality back.
No respect I tell ya, No respect.

kinda mentioned the fins knowing the calls in an irritated manner
Quote:
There was a report in Miami that the Dolphins had your line calls. Is that possible?
“Yeah, someone told me about that on Monday, but I don’t see that. I’d love to see evidence of that; that they could know exactly what our line calls are. Our defense knows what our line calls are and it doesn’t matter. They could say that, but I think that’s a big crock of you know what. I think it’s a matter of how we played. I’m sure if you asked them, it probably sounds good for them to say they have it all figured out, but they’re 6-7 and we’re 9-4, so go tell me who probably has it more figured out.”
reminds me of the press conf after loss to SD last yr.

Here's what he has to say about BB "
I think this team has to listen more to what the Coach says. I think if we listen more and we did more of what our coaches told us to do, I think we’d be a lot better off. But at times, I think we figure we can do it our way, and we show there is quite a bit of inconsistency to that.
Sounds like he's calling out certain players to get with the program.

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded here and there, now and then are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck." RAH
I for one am glad to see Brady showing some fire & emotion in his pressers. The team was flat as flat could be the last two weeks. Hopefully the cutting of Gabriel lights a fire under some of the lolly-gaggers.
Didn't BB pull this cut-in-mid-season stunt to great effect a few years ago with Meyers (?) or some other ST guy who flubbed a tackle?
Sounded to me more like he's irritated with the caliber of player he's being asked to work with. The leaders on this team have been trying to show these guys the way since week 1, but he's clearly not seeing that the new players get it across the board. They either lack talent or character or effort, but something is clearly missing. If it's effort they can still turn it around, if it's talent or character (will to win) then we be done.
Said Gabriel was a good person, not a good player. Said we are trying to go in a direction (up) and obvioulsy coach feels that player isn't traversing in that direction. Mentioned how this has always been a team based on putting in the effort week to week in practice and games. I don't think he's seeing that character from this current squad, and in particular some of the new additions. He hopes we can improve, but he can't guarantee it. That's the story of the 2006 team in a nutshell. And while that is on the deficient players as individuals, it's also on the FO as the guys who do make those player personnel decisions.
Doesn't sound like CJ will be bailing us out any time soon...not even practicing and the observation that beyond that you have to show you can bring it on the field...he was asked a softball leading question about the rook, and he chose not to go that route. This was definitely a message to the troops as Reiss suggests, and that message was 14 weeks in times up.
"Have you seen things from Chad Jackson in practice that he’s developing nicely?
“I think it all depends on what you do out on the game field. He hasn’t been out there the last few weeks. He hasn’t practiced in a few weeks, either. We’re going to see how he does when he does practice.”
Earlier in the week I speculated that Brady would use this PC in this manner ...I like this! He is obviously upset and PO'd with plenty of things. If he stood there today and said, 'well, we are 9-4 and everyone is working really hard' crap, I would have felt cheated. Today, he sounded pissed...and he should be.
This has been an emotionally crappy year for Brady. Not feeling sorry for him in the slightest, but I think deep down he feels betrayed and he just might be counting the days/weeks until he can go off to some warm island and just chill and let it all out. I would hate to be around him when that happens - good luck Bridget!
Seriously, though, I think we (most of us anyway) know this is not our year. The next 3 games are going to be a battle to the end. Especially Jacksonville who seems to be fighting hard for the wildcard spot. I think we end the season 10-6 losing to Tennessee and Jacksonville. That will be hard to take, but it is the reality of the situation. Brady had done what he can with what he has to work with and that is that. Now Brady is starting to show some of that fustration. Good for him for not being the robot that the front office loves him to be!
Yes Virginia, Tom Brady is human and no year has really brought that to the surface like this year. He will go out this year without winning a playoff game (OK, MAYBE one), not making the ProBowl, and having some of the worst stats of his career. He will also go a down in the QB rankings - still maintaining a top 5 slot, but not #1 - #2 to Manning. He will now be ranked behind Brees, Rivers and maybe even Romo. All of this will PISS HIM OFF. He will cut out every report and clipping about how he didn't get it done and how a year of his prime was wasted. He will take out those clippings every week and reread them over and over - some of his anger will go toward the Pats, some of it, most of it, will go to himself. If that Patriots really know that what they have in Brady is special and rare, they go this offseason and correct things - fix them and using their solid foundatin of great coaching and a great QB to get them back where they need to be. The demote McDaniels, sign a couple of taller, faster WR's, draft some faster, younger LB's and also sign Samuels. Then folks, it is GAME BACK ON!
Does Rodney still play a part in that, even though he’s been injured?
“Oh yeah, definitely. He’s as supportive as anybody. He’s what this team has been made of, he’s like Troy Brown and Daniel [Graham], and all the other great leaders we have. There is a certain style about those guys that allows them to be motivated, energized and that’s why guys make it here and some guys don’t make it here. You have to bring it every day. Those guys do, and that’s why they’re great leaders on this team.”
This is one of the first times I have seen Daniel Graham mentioned as one of the locker room leaders on the team. If that realy is the case, and he is part of the core with Rodney, Vrable, Tedy and Troy - Do any of you see that as a plus for having him re-sign with us?
